Each spring and fall since 2013 here in the US, men of varying ages, life stages, levels of experience and spiritual maturity have boldly stepped out to take on the challenge of the XCC. Not knowing what to expect, they plunged into a weekend of extremes, experiencing nature, battling fatigue and searching for the heart of God. Each was powerfully impacted through their journey, here are a few quotes from Musketeers and their wives about that:
I spent 20 years in the Marines, but I have never felt an accomplishment like I did this weekend. I feel a pull toward the cross. I will cherish it until I die...I want the 4th Musketeer and my Marine brothers to be at my funeral to bury when I die.
The 4M XCC has had a wonderfully positive impact on our whole family. My husband had to test his faith, fully relinquishing everything and relying solely on God. Pushed beyond his limits (on the XCC), he is living more for Christ today than I've ever seen from him. What a wonderful blessing this experience has been for our family!
I was on the verge of burning out before this weekend...this physical journey to a spiritual destination has reignited my fire.
